The Weehawk dive site at the Gallop Canal. The passenger family has been at the Canal since the early 1960s. The Weekhawk's owners had planned on disassembling the ship and sell as scrap metal.
Salvage work of the Weehawk was never completed. Over time, the ferry eventually sunk to the bottom of the canal, although much of the ship is still visible today.
